“I will meditate on Your precepts and regard Your ways. I shall delight in Your statutes; I shall not forget Your word.” (Psalm 119:15-16)

Meditation is something that is foreign to our modern hurry up and check it out on the internet society. Meditation takes time. It takes time for coming to the place where you clear your mind to think upon what it is that you are meditating. You cannot delight in what you do not love. You cannot love unless you invest yourself. Come, invest in the things of the Lord and meditate upon His statutes.

Lord, in this world there are so many distractions. I am constantly barraged with things coming at me all the day long. Teach me to clear my mind and come into Your presence. Guide me according to Your perfect will to see that only in You is there hope and a future. Teach me Your statutes that I may meditate upon Your goodness and mercy and learn more each day what You intend.

Holy Spirit, You know where I am clouded in my thinking. Guide me into the presence of the Father through meditation. Lead me to see in the truth of Your word the hope You give to all who believe. Guide me this day that I may meditate upon the truth You have revealed and walk in the way of salvation. Through the grace I need, lift up my countenance to walk humbly in Your guidance. Amen.
