ʻGod has spoken in His holiness: “I will exult, I will portion out Shechem and measure out the valley of Succoth. “Gilead is Mine, Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim also is the helmet of My head; Judah is My scepter. “Moab is My washbowl; over Edom I shall throw My shoe; over Philistia I will shout aloud.”ʼ (Psalm 108:7-9)
What belongs to God? He created everything and it all belongs to Him. Yes, He gifts you with your portion, but that is only for a time; it will pass to another when your time here is done. Do not be carried away with the illusions of this age, but see through them that the Lord God is Sovereign over all. It is He who has called you to Himself and He will lead you all the days of your life.
Lord, with my mind I know these things, but my heart seeks after the things of the world. Guide me, O Lord, to walk humbly with You knowing that all things do belong to You. Lead me in the way of righteousness that I may know Your goodness above all things. Help me, O Lord, to see that it is You for whom all things have been made and that all things are in Your hands now and forever.
Come Holy Spirit and clear my mind. Lead me in the way of righteousness that I may now and always walk in the way established from the beginning. Lead me to be set apart from this world that I may walk humbly by Your guidance all the days of my life. I belong to You and grace has redeemed me for Your purpose. May I be thankful and learn to praise every circumstance. Amen.
