“I will praise You with my whole heart; before the gods I will sing praises to You. I will worship toward Your holy temple, and praise Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth; for You have magnified Your word above all Your name.” (Psalm 138:1-2)
Who is the center of your being? Who is the one you look to for guidance? The Lord God who created all things is the One in whom we have our being. In Him alone will you find meaning for your life. Give praise to the One who created you, and be one who praises Him for all His benefits. Live into the life to which He has called you and be renewed and transformed as one of His faithful followers.
Lord, this life seems so complex, but it is actually simple. You are God and You have made us in Your image. Lead me through the haze of this life that I would come into Your presence and dwell with You all the days of my life. Guide me according to Your will to become the person You are creating me to be. Give me Your Word to understand Your will and Your way in and through all things.
You are in me, Holy Spirit. Daily You speak to me, but often I do not listen. Open my ears to hear and my eyes to see that in humility and in simplicity I would follow Your lead. Help me now and always to see through the obstacles that are before me that I would live into the promised life of one who believes. Lift me up to do what You direct me to do this day. Amen.
