“Praise the Lord!  Praise the Lord, O my soul!  While I live I will praise the Lord; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.”  (Psalm 146:1-2)

What are you here for?  The question of the ages stands before you.  You were created to worship and you do so all the day long.  But what is the direction of your worship?  Is it yourself?  Is it someone else?  Is it the things in your life?  Come before the One who created you and worship Him alone, for He alone is worthy of all worship and praise.  Sing praise to the Lord while you have your being.

Lord, You know my heart and where I am.  Guide me in the way of life that I would now and always abide in You and You in me.  Lead me in the way of worship which fulfills the purpose for which I have been created.  Guide me in the upward path to see that in You alone is all hope and being.  Help me in the peace You give to be thankful and full of praise.

Lord Jesus, You have come to lead the way in righteousness.  Lead me now and always in the way of life that I may abide in You as You guide me into the way of everlasting life.  May I humbly submit to Your leading and grow in Your likeness day by day.  You have given me my being and in You is my purpose.  Show me, O Lord, the way You know I need to go.  Amen.
