“We give thanks to God always for all of you, making mention of you in our prayers; constantly bearing in mind your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of our God and Father” (1 Thessalonians 1:2-3)

In whom or what do you hope?  We are all reminded that our hope must ultimately be in the One who has redeemed us.  In Him alone is all hope.  Through Him we have the promise of life eternal.  Come then and be led by the God of all hope and learn from Him, for He is gentle and loving.  May each of us join in with the prayers of all the saints knowing that He is working through us in His grace.

Lord, there is a great cloud of witnesses that You have gathered together over the years.  Lead me, O Lord, in the way of everlasting life so that I would humbly walk with You, my Lord and God, and become what You intend.  Through others and having joined in with continuous prayers, lead me along the narrow path to mature in faith and share all that You have given me with others.

Come, Holy Spirit, and kindle in me the hope that surpasses all understanding.  Put into my mind all those for whom You want me to pray.  Guide me in the goodness of Your mercy so that I would humbly walk in Your guidance and daily become more like Christ.  Through all of these things, keep me steadfast in Your Word, humble in countenance, and stalwart in my bearing.  All for Your sake I pray.  Amen.
